They are Tathagata's Disciples who dedicate their lives serving him, respecting his every word and action. They were inactive until Tathagata's resurrection with Park Mujin as his vessel, and they're stronger than the majority of the First Heavenly Realm Gods. [1]

The condition for becoming a Disciple is to cut off all ties to the world, usually done by slaughtering one's entire species.

The first Disciple is Subhuti, who swore allegiance in exchange for sparing Mori and his subjects from extermination after the loss of the First Heavenly War. He cut off his ties by changing his entire appearance until he became unrecognizable. [2]

The 2nd and 3rd Disciples are Rabbit and Deer, who were obsessed with power. They cut off their ties by slaughtering their kin. [3]

The 4th Disciple is Ryong, who joined after finding out Mori devoured Xuanzang. He cut off his ties by killing the dragon species with the help of Xiaochen, only sparing his father. [4]
